another case of a oddball article, this time this is a april fools stunt capcom did for SFV back in 2016-the year where the game already looked like a april fools stunt. the thing is, i already made a article all about SFV's various april fools stunts, it's just that that was about the games, and this isn't a game-more just a joint production between capcom and a surprise guest that i still don't fucking understand why they decided to collab with them for this after the power hour crossover game that sent street fighter's producer to the hospital due to how bad it was at the time of it's release...namco! maybe they just wanted to try a second shot at yoshinori ono for his crimes of *squints at paper* liking muscles.
shown above: two men preparing to form the greatest ponzi scheme the world has ever seen.
so, besides that insane fucking image, what this actually is is a fake storefront where you can 'purchase' things [capcom isn't cruel enough to actually steal your money for a joke from what i know], and that's kinda the end of that-but it is a funny thing to take a gander at. it even has two items that are sold as jabs against guile. what the fuck is their problem with guile? i get he's one of the enemies of shadaloo but TWO guile items? at this point just kill him! regardless, here's the archived link for the site so you can see for yourself.
https://web.archive.org/web/20160401105053/https://game.capcom.com/cfn/sfv/aprilfool-2016.htmlit's not just this, but there's also some fake ads at the bottom too, but i point them out specifically because i decided to put it into google lens to try and get a basic idea of what the japanese is saying, only to find...what is probably a mistake considering that japanese is a finnicky language to machine translate but,
600 year old company. either a family business or M. bison is a ancient evil who bodyhopped his way to his 21st century. pick your poison.
also, the fucking 'shadaloo curry' and what it said when i pressed the buy button confirms to me that they really are putting psycho power in anything in shadaloo like crack in neighborhoods.
